Collaborative Approach to Developing Culturally-Themed Digital Collections: Digital Collections

Guide to support the ALCTS Presentation given on May 16, 2017.

Background

The Passport to the World Program enables the College of Arts & Sciences to embark on year-long explorations of the culture and history of a particular region or country. The program engages our community in crucial global conversations through public lectures, cultural events, coursework, and travel opportunities.

Since 2010, the University of Kentucky Libraries International Programs collaborates with the Passport to the World Program to celebrate the culture and history of a featured region or country. Working with the Director of Digital Scholarship, International Programs creates virtual exhibits, and events are captured for each Passport year on the International Programs website. The virtual exhibits are listed below. Events can be found on the International Programs website.
