Curiosity is Key: Curiosity Matters (Nov 6)

Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose. - Zora Neale Hurston

Event Description

question marksCuriosity Matters: Why Ask Why?
November 6, Gatton Student Center Ballroom, 4-6 PM

Join fellow UK faculty, staff and students as we explore the importance of curiosity in higher education.

The event will begin with a Curiosity Fair consisting of “Curiosity Stations” hosted by faculty, staff and students from a wide variety of colleges and departments on campus. Curiosity Stations include:

  • Virtual Reality demonstration
  • World music petting zoo
  • The Science of Beer
  • Optical illusions
  • 3D Printer

    ....and more!

NEW:  Click here for the event handout, with a complete list of the Curiosity Stations.  Thank you to everyone who is participating!

The second part of the event will focus on small group discussion, brainstorming, and idea generation. Why does Curiosity Matter? What makes people curious and how we can get curiosity more integrated into the UK experience?  #CuriosityisKey #CuriosityMattersUK
