About This Guide

This guide will help you locate the sources you need for your German 105 research, and provides background on performing research in any of your classes.  The instructions walk you through the research process and show you how to find both print and electronic books and journal articles on a wide range of topics. The most important aspect of the guide is that it illustrates research methodology which may be applied in many situations.

Starting your Research

The research process consists of five main steps:

Step 1.  Develop Your Topic
