Artist Files in the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library: Kentucky Artist Files

What is an Artist File?

Artist files are folders in a bank of file cabinets in the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library that contain postcards from exhibits and clippings from newspapers and magazines. Please contact the library for access.

For more information about Kentucky artists, see the guide "Art in the Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library."

Artist File Collection

Our collection of artist files contains artists' biographical information and records of exhibits.  This guide lists the files that include information from exhibits that have taken place in Kentucky, including artists who are not native Kentuckians.

Artists are listed in alphabetical order under each tab.  Each folder in the vertical file cabinets contains postcards and exhibition announcements.  Articles or pamphlets may be noted under the artists' names in this guide. A few art historians, gallerists and playwrights are included in the collection.

Please contact the library for more information.
