Image sources

You will find landscape architecture and design images in a wide array of print and online sources.

In UK Libraries, the print collections that include landscape images will be housed in either the Young Library, Design Library or the Fine Arts Library.   You can browse the stacks in these libraries under SB, the general Library of Congress classification for landscape architecture.  You may also search the online catalog, InfoKat,  for books using keyword, title, subject or author.

Digital images are found on Internet sites and also in databases licensed by UK Libraries for use by students, faculty, and staff of the University.

ARTstor is a UK-licensed database that is the premier resource for finding images for educational use. The images can be used for presentations, lectures and student research papers but not publications. It contains over a million images. Use it without logging in to browse, or create a login to make your own "image groups" that save the images you need.

The Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals is a comprehensive listing of journal articles on architecture since 1934, covering the history and practice of architecture, landscape architecture, city planning, historic preservation and interior design and decoration.   The presence of images such as photos, drawings, plans, etc. is clearly indicated in article citations.
