Biography of Albert Wong

Albert Wong is currently an associate professor and of the Graphic Design department at the University of Texas at El Paso.  Having obtained his BFA at Columbus College of Art and Design, Wong also gained his MFA at Kent State University.  He has had many shows across the nation, including Lexington.

In a 2005 Lexington Herald Leader article on Wong's show at Heike Pickett, he states, "My style is hyper-realistic.  It's so real that people think it is the actual object."  Wong uses the technique of trompe l'oeil in order to create artworks that resemble actual objects in his watercolors.

You can find his artwork in the class reserves section of the library.
