A Note on Open Access Journals

"Open access journals" operate under a funding model that provides content free to readers and institutions. The open access journals listed in the DOAJ are peer-reviewed, research-oriented, and operate as numbered, dated serials appearing at regular intervals.

Journal Asiatique. Published  by the Société Asiatique in Paris (France) since 1822. Its oriental philology coverage relates to 19th-century Russia's Orientalism. Its geographic focus ranges from the Maghreb to the Far East, including Russia's Far East and areas of Central Asia which were at times under Soviet and Russian control.  Online edition with two time-spans of access (1822-1938 and since 1985).
