Searching 9 titles at once in PsycINFO

To Search all 9 selected journals in PsycINFO in one search without getting any other publications, search the journal's ISSN (International Standard Serials Number) instead of the journal's title.

  • First, select Advanced Search on our main page under the InfoKat Discovery Search Box on our main library web page http://libraries.uky.edu/
  • In the top search field, type in (or cut & paste): 0009-3920 OR 0012-1649 OR 0165-0254 OR 0140-1971 OR 1054-139X OR 0743-5584 OR 0272-4316 OR 1532-7795 OR 0047-2891 To the right of this search field  select ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) from the drop down list.
  • In the second field, type your keyword or keywords or key phrases.  For instance, type in obesity.
  • Between the first two fields, on the right hand side, choose AND.
  • This search will bring up all articles in these 9 journals that have the keyword or keyword phrase in either the article title, the article subject heading, article keywords, etc.
  • Below the search boxes you'll see "Start Date" and "End Date" where you can limit your search by date, for instance 2013-2018.
  • After you do your search, you can play with the results list and try sorting it in various ways: e.g., by date, by author, by source (publication), or by relevance.

How to Get Full-Text

When searching for journal articles, you will notice the View Now button on many of your search results. Clicking on the View Now button will lead you to links for the full-text of the article or let you know that we do not have electronic full-text for that article.

If the full-text is not available, you can search InfoKat Discovery for a hardcopy of the article or request an interlibrary loan (ILL), if needed.
