InfoKat Discovery

Saving queries / Alerts

If you would like to be alerted about new library materials in your area of interest, you can sign in to InfoKat Discovery and set this up. After you run a search for your topic (like subject: "bhangra dance") and do any refinements (like restricting to peer-reviewed articles) you can save that search using the Save query link on the top of the search results page.

While saving the query, you will be given the option to Turn on notifications for that search matching that search automatically emailed to you.

If you're taking a class with course reserves in InfoKat Discovery, you can search for your course code under Course Reserves, and save that search with an alert; that way, you'll always be informed when your professor puts new materials for your course on reserve!

You can manage your saved queries through My Favorites, which you can get to by clicking the pin at the top right of the screen. From there, you can see queries you have saved, change how you are notified about new materials, or delete saved queries when you no longer want to receive their results.

InfoKat Discovery also keeps track of searches you have done this session, so you can re-visit any of those searches from this page, using the Search History tab.
