Am I eligible to work?

Are you a UK student?

  • To work on campus, you must be registered as a student or be eligible to register as a UK student. To qualify for a work student position Check the UK Student Financial Aid & Scholarship website for more details.

International students can apply for a job. If you don't have a Social Security Number (SSN), you'll need to apply for one after you've been hired. Check the International Center website for instructions on applying for an SSN.

How do I apply?

Obtain and complete the I-9 form from UK Student Employment at Scovell Hall.

  • You can apply for a job if you haven't filled out the I-9, but all completed forms must be in hand the first day of work.. If you have any questions about the I-9, check the Student Employment website.

Determine your availability:

  • When can you work?
  • How many hours do you want to work each week?
  • You can apply for jobs even if you don't know your schedule. On the application form, enter the hours you think you'll be able to work, and add a note that your schedule's still being finalized.

Check Job openings to see who's hiring and apply.

  • Apply for all jobs you're interested in. Be sure to note in your application that you've already applied or are planning to apply to other units.
