Searching:
See the Find and Analyze Data to learn about search options. Please note: Searches are automatically truncated, e.g., if any of your terms are the root of longer words, the longer words will be part of your search. See more....
Downloading:
Direct downloading is available; click on Quick Download, Download select files or Download all files once you have identified the data you want. Registration with a MyData account is required to download most data files.
Help with Data Manipulation:
Downloaded data files require statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata) to manipulate the data; to acquire statistical software and find where to get consulting assistance, see Information Technologies' Statistical Software page. For assistance with locating data files in ICPSR, contact the Young Library Reference Desk.
It is also possible to analyze selected data files on the ICPSR site using Survey Documentation Analysis (SDA) or Nesstar; look for the Online Analysis link in your search results. See Analyze Data Online for details.
