Oliver's, named for the Oliver family, was a village located in Clark County, Kentucky near Winchester. At one time it had a working distillery, mill, store houses, and homes. This project focuses on African Americans in this region during the early 20th century, specifically racial segregation and the process of integration. Topics include education, family, social life, traditions, and religion. Also discussed are the Great Depression, employment, and businesses owned by African Americans.
