The 2017-18 theme of the College of Arts and Sciences Passport to the World Program is "Year of Civics and Citizenship in the 21st Century: Keys to Our Common Future." There will be a variety of events to "unite our campus in dialogue about our roles as citizens of the Commonwealth. One of our central goals is to highlight research done by our own faculty in Arts and Sciences and to foster both intra- and inter-college collaborative events across campus."
In celebration of Keys to Our Common Future, the University of Kentucky Libraries will set up a display (World of the 21st Century) in the lobby of the William T. Young Library that features online resources about:
- Climate change
- Future of work
- Globalization and the politics of food
- Impact of the internet on humanity
