The links below will lead you to tutorials and guides created and hosted by the database provider. Even a short investment of time may pay off by showing you an advanced feature that makes your search more productive!
Here are some recommended healthcare article databases. You can find others through the library website, or you might try the subject guides on Public Health or other healthcare subject areas. Always go through the Med Center library website to begin searches as our URL links you directly with what we have access to, as well as the link to our Document Delivery service. Links to databases and journals on our site have also been configured to give you access even if you're off campus. Just log in with your LinkBlue credentials. As a U.K. student, this is all "free" -- it's included in tuition costs. You should never pay for an article.
Medline is included in PubMed, as well as an option in CINAHL and PsycInfo (Ebsco databases). and Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics)
PubMed is permanently changing its search interface. The current PubMed will be phased out in the spring. The NLM will continue to improve the interface until that time, and our PubMed links will change to the new URL.
The link to the NEW PubMed with links to our collection is https://pubmed-ncbi-nlm-nih-gov.ezproxy.uky.edu/?otool=ukymclib
The current Pubmed link is https://www-ncbi-nlm-nih-gov.ezproxy.uky.edu/pubmed?otool=ukymclib&dr=abstract .Any browser is acceptable, but Chrome may be more helpful for some.
