ICPSR Overview

ICPSR, the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research, is the world's largest archive of digital social and behavioral data.

ICPSR is known for large-scale survey data. Its main purpose is secondary analysis of datasets.

Specific topics include COVID-19, children and youth, race, health, behavior, crime, income, families, politics, drug use, protest data, social media, gender and identity, and native populations.

Note: The University of Kentucky is an ICPSR member institution, which means all UK faculty, staff, and students can access all ICPSR content. Also, registration with a MyData account is required to download most data files. Registering will increase your access options.

Proxy Access Issues

Please Note:  Off-campus access via the proxy server is inconsistent. You may find that data searches and displays do not work. If that happens, please use this non-proxied link for on-campus access. If you encounter this problem off-campus, you can try the non-proxied link, but you may have to come on-campus to access certain data sets.

Also, registration with a MyData account is required to download most data files. Registering will increase your access options.
