Take advantage of "Help" screens in databases. Look for information on these searching techniques:

Boolean Operators  AND  OR  NOT

Truncation and Wild Cards to retrieve different forms of a word

Phrases to search for words in an exact order

Nesting to create multi-concept search strings

Proximity to search for words/ideas that express a concept, but aren't next to each other in the text
