About Zotero

Zotero is a free, open-source software program that manages bibliographies and citations. The program is helpful for anyone creating a research bibliography, manuscript, grant proposal, term paper, or other publication.

How do I get it?

Zotero is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux and can be downloaded by anyone from the Zotero.org website

If you are interested in a Zotero training session, please contact refdesk@uky.edu. Depending on the level of mastery you might desire, training may last from 1-2 hours, or multiple sessions may be scheduled. In addition, one-on-one sessions can be scheduled for troubleshooting, general introductory sessions, and other EndNote questions. Email refdesk@uky.edu to schedule a class.

Virtual Workshop Sessions

We recommend the Tutorial Videos linked on this page as an alternative to an in-person basic Zotero workshop. In addition, we are happy to offer alternatives to in-person workshops via Zoom.
