Civil Rights in Kentucky - Oral Histories: Other Civil Rights Collections
The Braden papers (Accession #66M38) record the activities of social activists Carl and Anne Braden. They were arrested and tried on sedition charges for selling a home in an all-white neighborhood to Andrew Wade, an African American electrician. This collection also includes the transcripts of the trial proceedings (Microfilm Accession #55M616). This material is available in the Special Collections Research Center at the University of Kentucky Libraries.
This collection consists of the minutes and miscellaneous documents of this committee that was established in 1963 to fight racial and religious discrimination.
