The AATG, founded in 1926, is the only national individual membership organization dedicated to the advancement and improvement of the language, literature, and culture of the German-speaking countries. With 5,000 members, the AATG is designed for teachers of German at all levels of instruction and all those interested in the teaching of German.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a publicly-funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. Our 14 international offices provide information as well as financial support to over 57,000 highly-qualified students and faculty per year for international research and study.

Founded in 1883, the Modern Language Association of America provides opportunities for its members to share their scholarly findings and teaching experiences with colleagues and to discuss trends in the academy. MLA members host an annual convention and other meetings, work with related organizations, and sustain one of the finest publishing programs in the humanities. For over a hundred years, members have worked to strengthen the study and teaching of language and literature.
