Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a data research platform that provides single-point access to a wide range of datasets across multiple disciplines, including finance, accounting, economics, and more. WRDS data is compiled from independent sources that specialize in specific historical data, including the Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP), Standard & Poor's COMPUSTAT, and others.
Provided by the Gatton College of Business and the UK Libraries, WRDS is the leading, comprehensive, Internet-based data research service used by academic, government, non-profit institutions, and corporate firms.
Access to WRDS is provided to all University of Kentucky faculty, PhD and Masters students, and staff, regardless of discipline. Access can also be granted to undergraduate students who are working with faculty members.

Once approved you will receive an e-mail message confirmation.

Please note: if you already have an existing WRDS account - either active or recently expired - at another institution (because you are a recent graduate or a faculty member who has recently transferred from another institution who has WRDS) do NOT request an additional WRDS account using the process described above. Instead, please fill out this form to transfer your account.
