Black Environmental Freedom Struggle in Kentucky: Home

A special topic guide for researching the Black Environmental Freedom Struggle in Kentucky

Getting Started

This guide was originally created to assist students in Dr. Newfont's HIS 351/AAAS 400/ENS 300 with resources for the class project.  These primary and secondary sources can be utilized to flesh out the information needed to place items found at the Fayette County Deeds office in context. Check out the interactive image below to learn more about these library resources in a case study of Pierre Whiting, long-time resident of Adamstown and employee of the University of Kentucky.

For assistance with items in Special Collections, click on the "Special Collections - Matt Strandmark's Guide" tab in the above menu.
