War and Conflict Special Collections: Oral Histories

From Combat to Kentucky Oral History Project (C2KY) consists of interviews with veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan who are currently pursuing post secondary education in Kentucky. Veterans interviewed are from various branches of the military service and various military occupational specialties including infantry, medical. and human resources.

This series of interviews focuses on the personal narratives of Holocaust survivors. Topics addressed include deportation, occupation, war crimes, concentration camps emigration, post-war anti-Semitism, and experiences with other survivors after the war.

This is a series of interviews with people involved in the protests on the University of Kentucky campus during the Vietnam War in response to the Kent State Shootings in Kent, Ohio in 1970. Interviewees include protestors, university administration, and politicians.
