About National Arts and Humanities Month
October is National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM). Americans for the Arts launched the first NAHM as a celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts. In 1993, the program was officially established as an annual celebration of arts and humanities.
