OER Grant Program Advisory Board call for new members

The OER Grant Program supports the adoption and creation of open educational resources (OER) for use in University of Kentucky courses, and we need you! Any UK faculty or staff with interest in open education and/or course material affordability are invited to apply to join the advisory board.

Duties

The OER Grant Program Advisory Board is responsible for the grant selection process and for guiding future directions of the program. Duties include the following:

Review and evaluate proposals to select grant recipients and funding amounts, which typically includes between one and three meetings (April of each year)

Promote the program across campus (year-round)

Review proposal evaluation criteria and make revisions as appropriate (occasional, as needed)

Provide feedback for future directions of the OER Grant Program (occasional, as needed)

Requirements

Advisory board members serve two-year terms, with the option to apply for a second term.

No member will serve more than two consecutive terms unless the individual is an ex-officio member.

Advisory Board members are not eligible to apply for the OER Grant during their terms. Current grantees may apply for the Advisory Board during their project period after the selection process is complete.

How to apply

Those interested in serving on the Advisory Board should apply here by November 3, 2024. Selections will be made by the UK Libraries Affordable Course Content Working Group, which will prioritize representation of as many different departments and role types as possible. If you have questions, contact the Affordable Course Content Librarian.
