On this page you will find information about accessing Spanish-language films and other films related to Hispanic Studies. We have several streaming video platforms, as well as a physical collection of DVDs and videocassettes. If you would like to request a film purchase, please contact me.
Go the Kanopy site and click the Browse link at the top of the page. Then select Latin America Studies from the Global Studies & Languages collection.
Go to the Swank site and click on the "Go to Advanced Search" link on the right-hand side of the page. Then, select "Latin Spanish" or "Spanish" from the Foreign Films drop-down menu and click Search.
Go to the Docuseek site and click Browse at the top of the page. Then, select Spanish from the Language drop-down menu and click Search. OR click the Subjects link at the top of the page and then choose one of the relevant categories (Argentina, Latin American Studies, Mexico, Area Studies, etc.).
Go to the Films on Demand site and click the 3-line icon to the left of the Films on Demand logo in the top-left corner of the page. Then, under Subjects, click View All. On the following page, choose a relevant subject (Latin American Studies, Latino Studies, Spanish, etc.).
The UK Libraries has a collection of DVDs, streaming video, and videocassettes in Spanish available to check out for use in classes, small study groups, or by individuals. A list of the DVDs and the streaming video in alphabetical order by title is included here.
