Interested in a library research module or library information in your Canvas course?

You can use our open enrollment canvas courses in their entirety (Open Information Literacy or Open Academic Research), or I can design a tailored, shorter version for your class research assignments.

Please send me an email, and I'll be happy to work with you to put together instructional materials in Canvas for your class.

Please complete this Instruction Request Form and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

The Information Literacy Guide describes the importance of integrating information literacy concepts into your course and includes suggestions for sample assignments.

Research Resources

Research Consultations

I am happy to work with you or your students on search strategies including developing search terms, choosing appropriate databases, managing citations, and so forth. I have some availability in consulting with you on literature, scoping, and systematic reviews and can advise on research and publication issues.

Feel free to email me or schedule an appointment with me (in person or Zoom).

Purchase Requests

As the liaison to the College, I am happy to take your requests for library materials you feel should be added to our collection, particularly for one-time purchases such as e-books or books.

Please send me an email with information about the item to be considered for purchase or complete this form.

Interlibrary Loan

If the University of Kentucky Libraries does not have access to an article or book that you need, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service can usually borrow a copy from another library for you to use. Information about the service can be found on the library's Interlibrary Loan page.

NOTE: Your library card number is on the back of your UK ID card.

EndNote

EndNote is a citation management software package that can help you keep your research materials organized as you research and write. Many of our databases will export citations directly into EndNote.

The software is available for download though the UK Download page. More detailed information is available on the EndNote research guide.
