The Term: Lesbian News
The term "lesbian news" has been used to define news about lesbians. The term has also been used as the title of publications, with one of the earliest being the 1975 publication by Jinx Beers in West Hills, CA. For this libguide, the term "lesbian news" will be used to identify lesbian journalists and broadcasters, and the titles of current newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and other periodical publications with the main focus on lesbians.

Lesbian NewsFounded in 1975, Lesbian News Magazine is North America's longest running lesbian publication, serving as the foremost voice for lesbians of all ages.

Lesbian News AotearoaBased in Aukland, New Zealand. Lesbian News Aotearoa is the online name of the Tāmaki Makaurau Lesbian Newsletter, which was printed monthly from September 1990. We publish news, profiles, pictures, events, analysis and debate of interest to lesbians and queer women, usually at the beginning of the month.
